The Apprentice @ The Old Cinema

It was great fun appearing on last night's episode of The Apprentice. Lord Sugar and the teams spent a day filming with us last year, we even managed to sell something to Nick Hewer. Our showrooms provided the ideal backdrop as candidates got inspiration for their own upcycled furniture to sell in pop-up boutiques in Brick Lane.  Congratulations to Team Phoenix for winning the task!

Upcycled Exhibition Now On!!

We would like to welcome all of you lovely people to check out the latest offerings from some of the UK's top upcycling designers. The selling exhibition features everything from furniture and lighting, to jewellery and home accessories. Styles range from heavy industrial to all things light and bright. The designers have produced some fantastic examples of upcycling, the hard work, craftsmanship and detail put into each piece is astounding! We hope you will find something perfect for your home, and you'll be proud to know that each piece was hand crafted using recycled components here in the UK.

The exhibition runs from today until Sunday, March 25th. Please check out previous blog posts for a run-down on some of the designers exhibiting.

See you soon!

Original London Transport posters & new Keith Haynes Jubilee Vinyl

New in stock this week are these original 'Hop on a Bus' posters, produced in 1958 for London  Transport to encourage people to use the bus in wet and windy weather. The artwork was by Lobban, who only designed transport posters for a short time, from 1956-1960. These posters are very difficult to source in such perfect condition, and the beautiful frames only add to their desirability. We think they look best as a pair, but either would look great on their own as well!

Keith Haynes of Art Partnership, who created the ever-popular 'Vinyl Hearts series', has brought us these limited edition 'God Save The Queen' artworks, which are cut from original Sex Pistols 7" vinyl records. Timed just right for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, so grab one while you can!
