Upcycled Exhibition - Sneak Preview!

With only a week remaining until the opening of our Upcycled Selling Exhibition, here is a preview of some exciting new products and designers taking part. The exhibition will run from Thursday 15th March to Sunday 25th March, featuring furniture, jewellery, lighting and accessories. Click on each companys' name for more info. See you soon!

 Exhibitors:

Victoria Road - Bespoke upcycled lighting and accessories from old electronics and found objects.


Free Range Designs - Hand made timber furniture, artwork and acessories. They even construct compost toilets should you require one!





Stig Art - Industrial furniture meets sculpture, each piece is hand made from reclaimed industrial artifacts found in South Yorkshire. The Old Cinema has featured some of Stig Arts furniture in the past, and we are glad to have him back for this special exhibition.





Lucy Turner - Stylishly upcycled retro furniture with fresh, bright graphics and themes. Many of you are well aware that we regularly stock Lucy's furniture here at The Old Cinema, and for this exhibition she will present her new 'Team Cornwall' range!



Kelly Swallow - Kelly and her husband Michael upcycle original vintage chairs with a brilliant splash of hand stitched patchwork fabrics. No two chairs are ever the same!




Little Monster Design - Upcycled vintage and retro furniture featuring colour block designs for a contemporary feel.



Donna Walker - Donna creates distinctive lighting using reclaimed lampshade frames and old lamp bases, updating them with colourful modern cloth covered wiring and vintage style light bulbs.




Sarah Turner - Sarah uses reclaimed PET plastics (soda and other drinks containers) to create some truly original lighting. Her designs are so striking that you would never be able to guess where the materials originated from!




The Rag and Bone Man - Through his use of reclaimed tools, engine parts and machinery The Rag and Bone man creates striking industrial lighting and furniture. Each piece is hand badged and numbered, and no two pieces are ever alike. We currently stock a few of his pieces in the shop, but keep an eye out for some newly imagined objects in store next week!







Textiles and Jewellery: 

 ReVampt - Unique shelving, chairs and small accessories created through the use of reclaimed fabrics from the textiles industry and dressmakers. All fabrics sourced are in a limited supply, making each piece a true one-off item.



Lula Dot - Beautiful hand-made Jewellery created from the parts of vintage watches and small trinkets. Lula Dot also create a small selection of upcycled lighting and furniture as well, have a look on their website!

 



Hunted and Stuffed - Brilliant hand-made cushions using original mid century fabrics and textiles.



Tricia Lomax - Tricia uses found artifacts and objects from a bygone era to create wonderful pieces of bespoke jewellery. She creates jewellery for both men and women, and only one of each creation exists, so don't miss out!
